how is it that brighton is half a year old?!?! i would really love a "stop time" button right about now. i have never had so much fun in my life. being a mom truly is the best reward! every day she learns something new i cant help but be beyond thrilled for her....especially when she glances up at me like "mom! it really is no big deal, i am a big girl now! ((attitude and all- just like her momma))
talk about milestones at 6 months! brighton says "mama" not even joking....i was sure this was a word that would not be in her vocabulary for at least a year and for it to be her first word melts my heart! she says it when she is sad and says it when she is glad! she knows i am always there for her and that makes me feel like i am doing a good job at this whole mom business! she also started crawling this month...she is slightly on the lazy side though so she will crawl about 2 feet and then just end up rolling over to wherever she needs to go....it cracks me up. one minute i see her at one end of the house and in a blink of an eye she is at the opposite end! she loves baby einstein! like love, LOVE! as soon as i put it on her world is complete and she is in the zone. i will walk by the tv and say her name and she will be so focused on the tv! ((we limit the tv watching for her- dont worry)) she is so well behaved at home...and can entertain herself for quite awhile! i am so blessed for that! we recently got her a cash register that makes noise and teaches her numbers, colors, foods, etc. she carries around the credit card when she crawls and rolls around. pretty sure it is one of her favorite things right now. jake suggested we call it a "debt card" instead of a "credit card" hahahahaha. probably a smart idea.
